I'm with the camp that uses the mouse buttons for the hooks. It makes it easier for me to use WASD while swinging.

I'm some weird hybrid. I have two extra buttons on my mouse, so mapped the thumb button to right hook. My double hook is mapped to "X", and left is "C". Gas is space, and dodge is L-ctrl. I would like to be able to map "E" and "Q" and attack and special attack, and gas to mouse 5 (besides their already set functions), so I can perform everything except looking/walking with either hand. It's surprising how many kills I can get already with only the mouse, using only 1 cable, attack, and no special (I use Marco).

Got a new mouse, and it recognized the side buttons.
So, yes, it's possible.

I use the Mac mouse that's completely smooth (forgot name), so I can't.
But one hand only for playing would be confusing as hell. lol
