i see the scoreboard hasnt been updated yet... and will it be reset because of the new singleplayer spawns? also there can't exactly be a route now so it seems it takes a bit longer to complete. also go to page 123 before you update peanuts c:

Agreed with Rice, the singleplayer maps are now randoms spawns so it'll be lucky to get below 100 (for now xD)

Both versions are currently available, so why not just leave this thread active while putting up a new thread for the 05182014 update whose three Singleplayer levels are radically different from their older counterparts.

p.s. for 'Forest Survive' I think it'd be nice if there's something on scoreboard along lines of 'Number of titans killed in 10 minutes', or even 'Time taken to kill 100 titans' or something like that. Because although clearing all 20 waves on Hard is very manageable for the best players it's far from the most exciting thing to compete over.

I'd prefer the 10 min one, since we're pretty much used to what's good and what's not already.

Yeah, although the 'scale' will have to be moved up slightly to reflect fact that Abnormal % is much much lower on this version than on the previous Multiplayer Forest II/III. Although, by and large, the very best '10 minute' numbers tended to be made only when the player was shined upon with massive luck and happened to get a very small number of abnormals during the higher waves. And so this is a sort of simulation of that 'massively lucky' scenario.
It's more convenient for comparison, etc, because with so few abnormals there's less variance.

Abnormals are nice since they look for you rather than you wasting time doing the opposite. The problem is when they flop for no reason or there are 3+ of them.

Yeah. And those things happen with very high frequency at waves 10,11, and 12, so that generally all 100+ scores on the old version occur only with the amazing luck of not having those things happen. Even the very best players only ever scored above 100 when they had remarkable and tremendous luck.

This version of forest survival is nice because it eliminates much of that variance and the enormous element of luck/chance of having to hope beyond hope that you aren't going to be skullfucked en masse by an army of abnormals the instant the wave spawns.

I wonder why there isn't a new scoreboard yet?

I discussed it with Accel.
As far as I know, it'll open when the SP update is 1 week old, so we have some time to discover any potential bugs which would ravage the scoreboard.
