Petra should be faster than armin, but not mikasa, people would probably always choose petra over mikasa if that was the case. needs to be balanced.

saying that "oh petra was in elite so she's better," is totally wrong, mikasa was accepted into the levi squad, so not only is she recognized now as one of the best, her kill record smashes on petra.

[size=50]semi-rant: Petra wasn't even that good, most of her kills were team ones. As you saw in the anime without her team she would completely fall apart, she has a uber lower solo kill record. Mikasa kill record is going to surpass both her team, and solo kills combined. Plus there is a reason Mikasa is good, she just trains hard obessively because it's what eren wants, plus she's been training with levi in the anime, she even managed to do a levicopter during the final episodes of the anime. wat, you just blacked out all the parts where mikasa did some dmg to the FT, and looked at all the negatives, she broke out of a grab, slashed at her heel enough to make her stumble in city, during forest she nearly fell, and in the city, she kept slashing at her while the ft couldn't hit her, until a piece of rubble hit mikasa, so ft never really even beat mikasa during the city. and Not only did mikasa do all that in city, she did all that by herself, military poilce insta died, jean only did a hit and run, otherwise the battle was soley against mikasa vs ft until eren came tldr; bleh don't care anymore

Mikasa has more agility than Petra.
The only thing those two girls have in common is that they are short-tempered. Mikasa, you know why, and Petra, when Eren transformed at the dinner.

From what we know, Mikasa's some natural talented person. Hooray for natural talent. Honed natural talent is almost always better than honed regular skill, at least in anime.
Even with her natural talent, she wasted her gas after Eren "died" which almost resulted in her death she almost got killed by the FT by being lured in by the trap. She can do good, that's a given.
But look at what SOS did. They managed to weaken her to the point of collapsing, until she forces an eye regeneration and proceeds to slaughter them.
First thing Mikasa does? She goes in for the lure, and almost dies, getting saved by Levi.
Erd fell for the trick most likely because they didn't know she could concentrate regeneration in specific areas. Mikasa just saw the arm fall and went for it, not considering other parts might've been healed, or that FT might still have had tricks up her sleeve. The SOS waited until they were pretty much certain.

You really don't like Mikasa do you? Um because if you noticed, she kind of brought the female titan down to her knees also, by hitting the achilles heel. Wow what's with this discussion.
Well, I'm going to add what I think. Petra was a great soldier and good at teamwork (she wouldn't be in Levi's squad if she wasn't) that's why the solo kills are not that high. Also the Scouting Legion usually tries to avoid fighting Titans.
And Mikasa no question is a great soldier, too. She already killed many Titans as a Trainee. But in my opinion she is still too unexperienced (that's why she can't be compared to Levi). And she has a huge weakness which is Eren.

Because she's different. Her special requires a different play style than Petra's, meaning that it would suit some players and not others and thus she would be used by the players that she suits. Not only that, but a lot of people like Mikasa and just wanna play as her for the fun of it.

It's like picking between eating an apple and a plum in a way.
They both have their own unique goodness.

I guess you could say the same goes for Petra, people just play as her for the fun of it, with that logic she wouldn't need any buff at all.

Besides people like petra as is, a speed boost is nice, but if she doesn't get one she's still being used. And not everyone believes petra is faster than mikasa canonly.

Plus Petra's special is just a lot more versatile, than mikasa's, it just has more uses. (climbing, following abnormals, total anticrawler, cd is short .makes it safer less vulnerable time, more pseudo escape etc)

If you miss with mikasa's special you could hit the floor, and the ic is something you have to learn, otherwise it's really not reliable.but it's good for overhead kills, that petra can also do with her special.
