d_OVRKLL: The thing is if this is put in, then we'd be at a disadvantage to not use it. It's forced upon us. Mikasa's special is a choice, because:
1. You can choose character.
2. You can choose to use the special.

And actually a fair deal of things are sort of realistic.
Wall running is possible for a little bit.
Collision damage should exist.
Have Mikasa's special shoot ropes down, so it only works with ropes in range.
Have Armin's special changed or something if you want that.

The 3DMG itself would break your back most likely, but we're going by anime physics here.
Real physics means no Titans, and no 3DMG, and no anything.

Yup, pretty much turned into a shot down suggestions thread like you first said.

Spoiler:
Not very different from a suggestions thread anyway. the general thing we got is physics, and suggestions

why was wire lock so important, I wanted to see sideways movement on walls, but all we got was LOLnos to wire lock, and everything else ignored.

@Accel:
not bothering answering every unrealistic thing.
But just saying, locking on in original made pendulums easier, reeling in made equator cuts a lot better. How is wire hooking toggling to bother anyone?

We can do this in game already, just hold down the hook button, this will just make it so you don't have to hold it down, and instead tap it.

But..how would it be a disadvantage if your whole point (from what I interpret/remember as I don't think I have read a whole post regarding this yet) is that it would be pointless? This means you admit it has utility.....

This is still a choice too (based on my suggestion: Tap = hook/unhook; Holding = reel; No input while hooked = no reel) because the ONLY adjustment that would have to be made is pressing the button again to let go (granted holding down a hook button initially will default to hooking and then reeling like we have now). If you're already used to holding down the hook button to reel in, it literally won't make a difference in your actual game play.

It's like the reel-in/out thing that Feng added with the mouse wheel. I play on an Xbox controller so for me, I was completely unaffected. Am I missing out? Maybe...but does it make me a weaker player? Doubt it.

It'll provide a completely unrealistic benefit.
Which is why I don't want it.

I HONESTLY do not see how being able to stop your gear from reeling in without being forced to unhook is an "unrealistic benefit" that you "would be at a disadvantage to not use"

It's unrealistic, and gives a benefit that shouldn't be possible.
So if I cut out, then I don't have the benefit. Do you see?
And it's because it simply is not possible.
You don't create momentum out of thin air.

Well I would settle just for toggle hook/unhook. So I don't have to hold the hook button down all the time.

That wouldn't be much of a benefit, just more of preference IMO.

Spoiler:
The wire lock was done in the anime by like 5 ppl, saying only elites can do this, isn't true since they were trainees barely graduated. (thomas, mina, etc)

Will it benefit people? That's the plan, will it be a disadvantage to not use it? are you at a disadvantage right now how you are currently playing without it? No.

But honestly I really don't care anymore, I still want the toggle hooking button/option in menu though.

Generating momentum out of thin air is a great idea!
I fully support it.

xD ok you got me that was funny.

Wire lock bleh fine you win accel.

Spoiler:
But the wire toggling really wouldn't change the game at all, all it does is instead of holding down hook button to stay hooked, and letting it go to unhook.

Will be the option to just tap, stay hooked, tap again, unhook. I'm not sure if wire lock generates momentum out of a magician's hat. but

wire toggling hook/unhook shouldn't, it's already done in game, just manually.
