The timer started going into negatives after a while after i joined a server. Whut?

It will get just show the scores very quickly then just make you try to pause and quit...... On some occasions i can't seem to put up the pause menu to try and quit.
Then I have to wait for the friggin loading time again after that... if that happens.....
